Can't get enough

Say 'King Crimson' and most people go Huh? Some other people will say, '21st Century Schizoid Man.' Some may even say, 'Na na na na, na na, naa naa naa.' Well, there's more to them than that.

Currently, that is right now, I'm listening to their 1994 release, 'Thrak.' I also saw them on that tour which brought them to Massey Hall in Toronto. At that time they consisted of the 'Double Trio' which was: Robert Fripp-Guitar, soundscapes and Mellotron; Adrian Belew-guitar, voice, words; Trey Gunn-stick and backing vocals; Tony Levin-Upright&Electric Basses and Backing vocals; Pat Mastelotto-Acoustic&Electric Percussions; Bill Bruford-Acoustic&Electric Percussions.

more about them here.

Listen to Yes and travel through time

Yep, today I'm listening to Yes. In particular I've been listening to 'Fragile' and 'Close to the Edge'

Time travel, according to Michio Kaku, is possible. Of course the basic materials will be hard to come by. If you think you can get it together read this.

A Tribute to Jack Johnson

Last year there was a five disc box set of this album and I avoided it. All I wanted was a remaster of the original. It became available a couple weeks ago and it now graces my CD player and my hungry ears.

Here's a review.

Good Listening!

The Mars Volta: apparently 'Deloused at the Comatorium' is one of Alex Lifeson's guilty pleasures. So I had to check them out. I look forward to their upcoming new album, Frances the Mute.

Have I mentioned, The Dillinger Escape Plan?

so little time, yet I still manage to work on my new song which is now titled, Umbilical. Rehearsing is ongoing and once that's done and I manage to change the strings on all my guitars, I'll begin recording. I may have mentioned that it would be over 7 minutes, it's looking like it'll only top 5 minutes, yum, yum, yum.

Here's something I found at BoingBoing and an update

I found this at BoingBoing: It's the journal of a woman who's taking testosterone as an experiment. What she's doing may be dangerous or ill-advised but some of her remarks are hilarious; others, not so hilarious. You be the judge: Mr Heathen

And in other news, I'm currently working on a song which relates my experiences piloting an interstellar spacecraft powered by 400 exploding neutron stars. No video is planned.
