Moonchild, Astronome, the Six Litanies of Heliogabolus and now...

The Crucible

1. some people cringe others delight in, The Crucible.
2. Was really sorry to hear that David Foster Wallace killed himself in September.
3. Happy to hear that Thomas Pynchon has another novel, 'Inherent Vice' coming.
4. Waiting for Doris Lessing's 'Alfred and Emily' to come out in large format paper.
5. Pelican, for the time being, is soothing my need for drone metal.

The Song Remains the Same

As with every other Led Zeppelin release over the years the hype machine is in
overdrive. The release of the band's favourite tunes, 'Mothership' all remastered of course; the release of 'The Song Remains the Same' soundtrack and DVD all remastered with additional tracks. Sweet banana cupcakes is all I have to say. The links are out there, you won't fail at finding them. And for those who don't know and may wonder, the name of their publishing company is Superhype.

Decide for yourself if the hype is deserved.

Raising Sand

Raising Sand: Robert Plant|Alison Krauss

Pure crystalline production supports their voices. One of my favourite guitar players is on board this project, Marc Ribot.
