War is Peace

The Sun Ra Arkestra, in Toronto, in a week. I'm there, unless I become afflicted by weasels.

"...fawning bimbettes seek my opinions on the fetishisings of music's inherent and delineated meanings."

Today's title is a quote from Robert Fripp. It was part of his reply to what a Fernandes sustainer Guitar would do for him.

Exposure by Robert Fripp

Who is Lacuna Coil?

You children, get out of my Porcupine Tree.

Quy es muy macho? Mike Patton or Al Jourgensen.

do you have one of these?

In other news: New song in the works and I'm setting up my studio as we speak. You can't hear my voice? Go to the December 2005 archive.

Still working on out on the tiles

I went to the Pilot last weekend to hear a few hours of jazz. When I arrived I was told that we were in luck because the guest guitarist was Lorne Lofsky. I did enjoy his playing which was the high point of an otherwise bland set of standards and some originals. And the Pilot is a good venue provided you get there early to find a seat. Many regulars are there on a weekly basis for Saturday afternoon jazz which extends into the early evening.

In other good listening this week:

Tool 10,000 Days

Joni Mitchell's Turbulent Indigo

Pat Metheny with Dave Holland & Roy Haynes question and answer

Yeah, this TOOL album is what I've been waiting for

TOOL 10,000 Days

And the packaging, always a treat, provides us with a series of stereoscopic images and the glasses to prove it.

In other news: I continue learning 'Out on the Tiles.' Next step is to sing it while playing. Tricky playing 7 and 5 8ths then that section of 2/4.

fun is fun.
